Terms of Use

By downloading or using the Carto app, you agree to these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Carto mobile application (the "App"), available on Apple's App Store. The App is published by Jolly Home, reachable at: contact@jollyhome.org.

2. Description of the Service

Carto is a shopping list management app for iPhone. Features include: creating and organising lists of items, a dedicated shopping mode for managing purchases in real time, and syncing lists with household members via iCloud (Apple Inc.).

The App is available as a free download. Certain features may require a paid subscription purchased through the App Store.

3. Eligibility

Use of the App is limited to individuals who have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Minors must have the prior consent of their parent or legal guardian.

4. User Account

The App may offer sign-in via "Sign in with Apple." Jolly Home does not have access to your Apple credentials. Account information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

5. Licence

Jolly Home grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in compliance with these Terms and the App Store terms.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the App; circumvent any security measures; or use the App for any unlawful purpose.

7. User Content

Data you enter (lists, items, etc.) belongs to you. Sync data is stored in your personal iCloud space via Apple's CloudKit service. Jolly Home does not have access to your synced data without your explicit consent.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and all its components are the exclusive property of Jolly Home and are protected by applicable UK and international intellectual property laws.

9. Availability and Changes

Jolly Home strives to maintain App availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The publisher reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.

10. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

In-app purchases are managed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. Jolly Home has no access to your payment information. Refund requests must be addressed directly to Apple.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jolly Home's total liability shall not exceed amounts paid by you for subscriptions in the preceding twelve months.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Jolly Home may suspend your access if you breach these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

Jolly Home reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.
